What consoles or systems does it work with?

The CronusMAX is compatible with PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 S, Xbox 360, PlayStation TV, Windows PC and most android devices (requires OTG cable).

What controllers does it work with?

We estimate that around 90% of controllers on the market are compatible, as long as they work on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PS3 and also controllers for the Wii and WiiU. Naturally we’re not able to test them all so can’t guarantee that your controller is compatible, however we have compiled a list of known compatible controllers.

The most popular ones we get asked about seem to be Scuf Controllers, Xbox One Elite, Nacon Revolution Pro V1, Razer Raiju and the Madcatz Streetfighter IV TE Fightstick. The answer to all these is YES they all work with CronusMAX! Specialized controllers such as drum kits and guitars are not compatible.

Is there any lag?

The short answer is NO.

It is impossible for the human eye to notice any lag caused by the CronusMAX PLUS, therefore in this context it is Lag Free. Technically, like any electronics device, data processing and all tasks performed by the micro-processor are time consuming. However our firmware is highly optimized. We use a programming technique which is free of blocking instructions and entirely based on events. Thus we achieved an extremely low response time, within a couple of milliseconds.

How many controllers can I use?

You can use as many controllers as the console allows, however you can use one controller per CronusMAX at any one time.

The CronusMAX takes on the “identity” of a controller and converts its signals digitally to the controller you wish to use. For example, if you have an Xbox One, the CronusMAX will take on the identity of your Xbox One controller through the process of “Authentication”. The Security ID of that Xbox One controller is then stored inside the CronusMAX so that the Xbox One thinks that the CronusMAX is in fact the Xbox One Controller. You can then connect any controller you wish to the CronusMAX and it will convert the controller’s signals through the CronusMAX to the console in real time. This allows you to use almost any controller on any console. If you want to use more controllers for crossover or modding all you need is another CronusMAX for each controller.

Note: The controller that is used for “Authentication” cannot be used while the CronusMAX is in use as it has borrowed the security ID of that controller. A console only allows one unique security ID to be used at any one time.

Are wireless controllers supported?

The CronusMAX supports PS4, PS3, WiiMote and WiiU Pro wireless controllers by using a BlueTooth adapter (included for free with the CronusMAX PLUS). Xbox 360 wireless controllers require a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (sold separately). There is currently no support for Xbox One Wireless controllers (simply connect them to the CronusMAX using a micro USB cable).

Bonus Feature: Professional players in the Call of Duty World league use the CronusMAX PLUS to actually remove wireless function from PS4 v1 controllers to eliminate any potential Bluetooth interference and lag, simply by connecting the controller to a CronusMAX using a micro USB cable.

I read somewhere that the controller disconnects after 10 minutes. Is that true?

NO it is not true.

There used to be an issue with the PS4 that caused the controller to reset every 8-10 minutes as part of it’s built in security against using non-standard controllers. However we defeated this protection measure in November 2015 with a new software update and the use of a compatible USB hub.

What games does it work with?

Does the CronusMAX have a warranty?

YES, absolutely.

CronusMAX warrants its product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, as evidenced by the purchase receipt. During the warranty period, CronusMAX will repair or replace the product if defective. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non transferable. Warranty is only applicable on items purchased from authorized re-sellers.

Can I get banned from Xbox Live or PSN?

NO.

The CronusMAX uses stealth technology and is 100% fully undetectable online due to how we use an original controller for its security ID. Unlike with some other adapters, the console believes that you are gaming with a controller meant for the console you are playing on and any scripts or mods simply mimic button, stick and trigger presses/movements automatically. However as always, when using any kind of mods or scripts, you do so at your own risk.

We do recommend you don’t go too crazy though, as other players may scream at you for owning them so easily 😉

Can I use a headset and mic with CronusMAX?

YES you can.

However due to how the CronusMAX communicates with PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers, you will not be able to use a chatpad or any wired headsets that plug into the controller itself. Any headset that can connect directly to the console either wired or wireless should fine work as long as it does not plug into the CronusMAX, or into a controller that is being utilized by the CronusMAX at that current time.

What are Classes and Mods in a GamePack?

A GamePack consists of Classes and Mods. The main category is a Class so for example you may have a RapidFire Class. Then that class will have a number of Mods which are variations of that RapidFire Class which will be optimized for that particular game.

For example, a GamePack may have a RapidFire Class with 3 Mods, so:

Class Name: RapidFire
When rapid fire is enabled, you can turn virtually any semi automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon. This creates a very unique advantage for players using semi automatic weapons. While rapid fire will not usually make a fully automatic gun shoot any faster, it can have positive side effects on fully automatic guns such as reducing recoil, helping players conserve ammunition and achieve more headshots.

Mod 1: Optimized RapidFire – This rapid fire is optimized to be as fast as possible but at the same time ensure that every single shot will be correctly registered by the game.
Mod 2: Adjustable RapidFire – With adjustable rapid fire you can always get the optimum firepower for your favorite weapon. The rate of fire can be pre-set in Cronus PRO or on the fly using the in-game controller menu.
Mod 3: Pulse RapidFire – Pulse rapid fire can reach a faster rate of fire with burst type weapons.

How do you connect a Keyboard and Mouse? I only see one USB port on the CronusMAX.
